PHSG ex-student, Emma Taylor, launches her debut poetry pamphlet 'Bed and Breakfast'

This month, previous student Emma Taylor, will launch her debut poetry pamphlet ‘Bed & Breakfast’ with an event in Bath. The event to launch Emma’s collection is on at 7pm on April 25th at Burdall’s Yard and will feature an open mic, plus some featured performers. Pre order information about her poetry can be found below and on her website https://emmataylorpoetry.com/buy-my-book/ .

Emma's first year at PHSG was in 2011. After studying at PHSG Sixth Form in English Literature, Psychology and German in 2019, she secured a place at Bath Spa University and graduated with a degree in Creative Writing and Primary Education.

The past three years has seen Emma have huge success in spoken word. She won the 2023 Lyra Poetry Festival Slam, she came 2nd in the UK National Poetry Slam Championships, and was a finalist at the inter-University national slam ‘Uni Slam’. She achieved all of this whilst juggling her degree and a chronic illness (which the pamphlet explores along with mental health and disability). She truly is a wonder!

Please take a moment to visit her website, emmataylorpoetry.com. Emma is truly inspirational, and we are delighted to share her successes and achievements with our school community.

Good Luck Emma.
