Adele, cleaning up as part of her DofE award
Adele Yer 9, has been cleaning up her local beach as part of her volunteering section for her DofE Bronze award.
PHSG students have been soldiering on during the national lockdown adapting and finding new ways to continue providing evidence for the different sections needed for their DofE awards. Normally they would be volunteering at charities, shops and projects within the local community, however with most retailers shut, projects postponed and restrictions in place regarding close contact it has been really difficult for the students to conduct the volunteering section of their DofE.
We are super proud of the resilience and innovative ideas our students have shown and Adele has combined her daily exercise allowance with volunteering to clean up her local beach. What a wonderful way to spend her time in such a beautiful place. Well done Adele, what a fantastic job!
