PHSG Student Librarians

Congratulations to Esther, Elizabeth, Rosa and Emma for being successful in their application for Student Librarian. They all performed exceptionally well during their interview and are already proving to be a real asset to the library.

PHSG prides itself on the opportunities available to our students for leadership roles throughout their school journey and believe that providing students with the option to take on additional responsibilities allows them to develop skills which will enhance their capabilities in futures years and life to come.

To be selected as the student librarian at PHSG is a privilege at the school and students must complete an application and sit through an interview process to be selected, an experience which we feel is important as students transition throughout the school.

Part of their roles and responsibilities will be:

Issuing and returning books
Helping people use the library
Shelving books

Tidying the library
Organising library events

Helping with displays
Promoting the library and books

The students are issued with a rota and will assist with the responsibilities at lunchtimes throughout the year.
