PHSG Sports Day 2022
Thursday 12th July saw the return of the PHSG annual Sports day at Brickfields.
For many students this would have been their first opportunity to compete and soak up the electrifying atmosphere of the legendary PHSG Sports Day following the restrictions of the pandemic.
Athletes train throughout the year as the Houses compete against each other to win certificates, trophies and House points. It is a whole school team event, with our Sports Captains playing key roles in the organisation and running of the event.
This year we saw a record number of records broken this year:
-
Boys Shot: Max R at 13m 10cm
-
Boys 100m: Ben H at 11.87secs
-
Senior High Jump: Lana S at 1m49cm
-
Junior High Jump: Erin W at 1m33cm
-
Senior 800m: Verity T at 2m23secs
-
Senior 400m: Mali H at 1m00secs
The overall winners were Kendall, who have not been the winners of th PHSG Sports Day in over 20 years! So a huge achievement for the team.
A fantastic day was had by all and finished the day with a whole school picnic. Well done to all the athletes and all the Teams for making the day such a success.
