The secret life of Mr Rutherford
PHSG English teacher Mr Rutherford has a secret second life as a writer, which was recently featured on BBC Radio Devon and Cornwall.
The two hour programme – which can be found here for the next three weeks https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0gyg3r9?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile – features three poems written by Mr Rutherford, alongside music from Dua Lipa, Britney Spears and Adele amongst others, and an interview with an actor.
If you just want to hear the poems, they feature at roughly 1 hour and 6 minutes, 1 hour and 34 minutes and 1 hour and 53 minutes into the programme, though there are also numerous mentions of Mr Rutherford earlier in the programme as the presenter tries to get listeners excited about the poems.
The feature was as part of the BBC Upload project, which is well worth exploring if you are creative – it’s open to just about anyone (including young people) working in any audio/visual medium and found here: BBC Local Radio - Upload
