PHSG students visit the Royal Navy Heritage Centre
On Friday 26th January, a group of students from the Parents in the Armed Forces Support Group visited the Devonport Naval Heritage Centre, adjacent to Plymouth Dockyard.
The students were treated to a private tour by two volunteer tour guides and were shown exhibits from the “Age of Sail” up to post war ships. Collections included uniform through the ages, victualling and submarines – where the students could look at Plymouth through a working periscope!
“We feel the trip to the Naval Heritage Centre gave us an experience and insight into what our parents do on a daily basis. It had many historical elements and we had fun!”
