Aim High
Highest performing students identified in year 11 and year 12 are invited to join the ‘Aim High’ group. Students with slightly lower grades who meet widening participation criteria may also be invited.
Students in this group are given information on the opportunities available, with a particular focus on higher tier universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
These students currently receive:

A workshop delivered by representatives from the University of Oxford in year 11 to explain what makes Oxford and Cambridge different to other universities

A workshop delivered by the University of Cambridge in year 12 on how to make a successful application to Oxford or Cambridge

Free accommodation for visiting open days at Oxford or Cambridge

Visitor presentation on the benefits of attending a Russell Group university

Bespoke advice about super-curricular activities to enhance their application

Support sessions ahead of the early UCAS deadline

Regular meetings to support and give feedback on personal statement

Mentoring from alumni who have been successful in gaining a place at Oxford or Cambridge
