Kernow Health is delivering the school-age immunisation programme in Cornwall and Devon on behalf of NHS England. We will be immunising year 9 (and a year 10 & 11 catch-up clinic) against Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio and Meningitis ACWY at PHSG on 24th February 2025. Parental consent is needed for this immunisation; the link to the form can be found in the article below.

On Friday, 20th December, Plymouth High School for Girls (PHSG) hosted its much-anticipated Carol Service at St Matt's Church, marking a joyful conclusion to the school's 2024 year. The event was a true celebration of festive spirit, featuring a variety of musical performances that brought together the PHSG community.
Today marked a special occasion at Plymouth High School for Girls (PHSG) as the school gathered for the final assembly of the term, celebrating leadership and the announcement of the House Shield winner. The assembly not only acknowledged the dedication of our student leaders, but also witnessed the passing of the baton from the outgoing Head Student Team to the incoming one.
On Wednesday 18th December, PHSG hosted its annual Awards Evening, a special occasion to celebrate the achievements of students. The event provided an opportunity for the 2023/24 Year 11 and Year 13 students to collect their national certificates and be recognised for their hard work.
The Science Department recently held an exciting competition inviting students to design a new logo that will be featured on the department's materials and website. The competition attracted a wide range of creative entries, showcasing the impressive talent within our school community. It was a tough decision for the judges, but after much consideration, we are proud to announce the winners!
A round up of the events that have taken place in the library in the Autumn term two 2024.
A team of 26 students attended the Plymouth Schools event in November at the Staddiscombe playing fields and, despite the wind and mud, they all ran really well. Spirits were high and we had 6 top 10 finishers.
Seven of the students have now been selected for the Devon Schools Cross Country Championships in Exeter in January, so we wish them good luck and good weather. Congratulations to Tilly D, Ruby S, Matilda H, Margot E, Ava P, Emily U and Molly G.
We are seeking to appoint an Attendance Improvement Coordinator to promote excellent attendance and punctuality and reduce absence levels. To also provide specific support in relation to attendance and maintain SIMs systems. They will also be expected to provide administrative support for both staff and students.
