The Plymouth Youth Awards celebrates children and young adults throughout the city for their outstanding achievements, inspiring feats against adversity and tireless dedication to creating change.

15 coveted awards were presented at the 2024 awards where over 45 amazing finalists were celebrated in a range of categories, epitomising the incredible work being done to transform lives and enrich communities daily.

Plymouth High School for Girls has a number of students that were nominated to attend the final at the Crowne Plaza on Thursday 20th June.

Ella, Year 13, was nominated as a finalist in the 'Young Environmentalist' category for her contributions to the Plymouth High School for Girls, Earth Alliance Team. 

Sofia, Year 13 and Bella, Year 11 were both nominated as finalists for the 'Young Activist Award' for their campaigns within the Youth Parliament. 

The evening was a celebration of student achievements from across the city with a dinner and performances from local dance and theatre groups. 

We were delighted to learn that Sofia won her category as 'Young Activist' and was presented with her award on stage. 

Well done to Sofia, our student nominees and all the young people of Plymouth who were presented with awards throughout the celebration evening.
