But disaster struck at the very start. Isla, behind the wheel, sat helpless as the car failed to move, the result of a faulty battery connection. The pit team scrambled to fix it, but after what felt like an eternity—12 and a half minutes—we started in 80th place.

Isla quickly got to work, battling her way back to 35th by the first pit stop. Then Olivia took over, her experience at Goodwood shining through as she pushed us up to 28th, just a few places behind last year’s finish!

Molly C jumped in next, and wow, she was unstoppable. In just six laps, she took us from 26th to an impressive 19th place, breaking both the speed control and the steering in the process—but finishing strong!

Race 2 kicked off with Amalie, who immediately made her mark by overtaking five cars right off the line. Her second lap was the fastest of the day, clocking in at an average of 29mph!

Unfortunately, a red flag incident between two other cars brought everything to a halt. When Amalie finally zoomed past the team after the restart, relief washed over us—she was safe and sound!

Molly B. was our last driver, sent out with a mission of overtaking every car in sight. She took the car from 13th to an incredible 9th place, the best finish in recent memory.

A special shout out goes to Olivia, who was set to drive in Race 2 but missed her chance due to the red flag. We’re hoping she’ll be first in line for our brand-new kit car Xanthus, made possible by our amazing sponsors, BD.

Though the final results aren’t out yet, we know we’ve surpassed last year’s 21st place finish. The whole team—students, teachers, and volunteers—put in a phenomenal effort.
