PHSG students join the judging panel for the Children’s World Book Awards

We are excited to announce that PHSG students are playing an important role in the Children’s World Book Awards, the UK’s only national book prize that is entirely reader-driven – from start to finish, the children themselves decide the winner! Each year, the award is presented to the most popular work of children’s fiction, with almost 700 books read and voted on by young adults across the country.

Recently, Libby Allman from the Federation of Children's Book Groups visited our school library to meet with the students involved, discuss the awards, and distribute books for them to read and review.

Over the holidays, the students will read their assigned books and submit their votes, contributing to this exciting national literary event.

We are thrilled to be part of this prestigious process, and we look forward to seeing our students engage with and celebrate fantastic children’s literature! 📚🌟
