Willow-Rose's Unstoppable Half Term: Football Triumphs Across the UK!
Willow-Rose of 7A is on a roll! After being re-selected for Plymouth Argyle’s Emerging Talent Centre for the second year and successfully making the Devon County team, Willow had a packed half-term with achievements to match. Here’s a rundown of her football-filled week!

Tuesday, 29th October
Willow kicked off her half-term playing for Plymouth Argyle ETC against Exeter, where she and her teammates triumphed in both games. -
Thursday, 31st October
Next, Willow joined Elburton Villa (a team loaded with her Argyle and Devon teammates) to play in a festival hosted by Tottenham Hotspur in London. Willow’s team swept the board, winning all six games against two Spurs teams and London ETC teams – a fantastic display! -
Friday, 1st November – The Canary Cup
After the London festival, Willow headed straight to Norwich to represent Devon FA in the Canary Cup. Determined to better last year’s runner-up result, Willow and her team dominated their group, taking down Peterborough, Colchester, and Nottingham Forest. In the semi-final, they put in a powerhouse performance to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 4-0. -
The grand final against Wolverhampton Wanderers was a nail-biting goalless game that went to penalties. With a brilliant sudden-death save by Devon’s goalkeeper, Willow and her team lifted the trophy – an unforgettable moment!

Saturday, 2nd November
After celebrating, Willow made a 4 a.m. journey home to join her grassroots team, Lakeside Athletic, for a semi-final match. Despite the early start, Willow showed no signs of slowing down, helping her team secure a 5-0 victory and a spot in the finals next May!
