Year 7 Cross Country Finals
On Saturday 18th January, six Plymouth High students braved cold and muddy conditions at Exeter Arena for the Devon Schools Cross Country Finals.
All the students had qualified through the Plymouth heats before Christmas.
The first race contained Year 7 only, with all four students running well and finishing inside the top 25 (and the first four Plymouth girls to cross the line), led by Tilly D in 7K (13th) with a rapid time of 12 minutes 16 seconds for 2.3km.
She was followed by Margot E (15th), Ruby S (16th) and Matilda H (24th), who are also in 7K.
In the junior race Emily U in 9A finished in a time just inside 17 minutes, for her 3.3km and later in the day, former Anthony Sports Captain, Molly G finished an outstanding 4th place in the senior race.
A wonderful effort by all of them to qualify for the Devon finals and to finish so high up the field on the day.
