Annual Harry Potter Themed Book Quiz: A Magical Success!

This week, the Library hosted our ever-popular annual Harry Potter-themed book quiz, a highly anticipated event that brings together Harry Potter buffs from across the school for an afternoon of friendly competition and magical fun.

Teams gathered to face three challenging rounds of Harry Potter-themed questions, testing their knowledge of everything from the books' intricate details to its enchanting spells and characters. The teams, which could be no more than six players, included students from all year groups, and some teams even included teachers! It was a wonderful mix of students and staff, all united by their love of the wizarding world.

The quiz was expertly hosted by Miss Harris and Mr. Goodchild, who read out the tricky questions with flair, while our student librarians worked diligently behind the scenes to tally the scores and keep the event running smoothly.

As expected, the competition was fierce, and the room was filled with excitement as teams battled it out for the title of ultimate Harry Potter fan. The level of knowledge was incredibly high, and the answers were as creative as they were accurate.

After a tense and exciting finish, we are thrilled to announce that this year's champions are Professor McGonagall’s Social Batter—a team composed of Freya B, Amelia B, Eowyn W, Charlotte M, and Eva-Rose M, all from 8T. These talented witches and wizards have proven themselves to be the top Harry Potter fans at PHSG for 2025!

A close second place was Team Lumos, with third place awarded to Crookshank's supporters.
