Global Knowledge Put to the Test in Geography Quiz!

Students from all year groups put their geography knowledge to the test on Tuesday lunchtime in an exciting library quiz, competing in a series of challenging rounds to match capitals with countries, solve location-based clues, and pinpoint cities on a world map.
Students were given a knowledge organiser several weeks ago with every country and its capital city listed to learn. The quiz was the culmination of their learning.
Students had to name the country given the capital and vice versa, as well as name the country from clues. The final round saw students having to mark on a map the location of various capital cities around the world.
The winning team were called Custard Creams, and they scored a very impressive 39 out of 40.
WELL DONE to everyone who took part. Great fun was had by all. It was a very tight competition indeed. It came down to who placed Canberra in Australia the closest to its actual location on the map.
