Year 9 leading the future for Netball across the city
This week a group of year 9 netball leaders went to the Life Centre to help run a Bee Netball event for the Plymouth Schools Sport Partnership.
They ably worked with students from years 3-6 from 11 different primary schools in the city, running fun netball activities to help to prepare them for tournaments later on this week.
Following a leadership training day, at Eggbuckland Community College last week, the students were able to practice their leadership skills and learn how to umpire netball games. The students enjoyed putting their new and improved skills into practice. They will be looking for opportunities to employ their skills here at school and at their netball clubs outside of school too over the coming months.
A big thank you to the Plymouth Schools Sports Partnership for facilitating this opportunity for the students.
