In the UK, 9.5 Million Tonnes of food are wasted every year. This enterprise challenge day was designed to get the students to consider food waste, food poverty and to consider solutions as to how they can impact this ongoing issue!

Students worked in small teams to learn about the topic and to consider their solutions.

Some students came up with a campaign, some developed new products that use commonly wasted foods and others came up with initiatives to reduce food waste or assist with food distribution.

There were some fantastic ideas and creative designing, and we are super proud of our solution focused year 9's in their engagement of such a worthwhile challenge.
