Charity fundraising for Period Poverty
In celebration of International Women's Day on Friday, Period Poverty was chosen as the student's charity to raise money and awareness. Students were invited to wear a red accessory to show their support and our very own Head Student Team representatives hosted a bake sale to raise money for the charity.
We are delighted to announce that the Team have raised an impressive £160.57 for the charity.
Verity, our Head Student said:
I consider this important charity to support because I feel, as a school in which a large percentage of our students identify as female, we can all understand and appreciate the struggles women face. I believe it's vital that we do all we can to help women across the world in whatever way possible and so HST supporting such charities shows our commitment to the cause of equality.
